Library of developed shapes for boiler making and ventilation

The act/shapes library of developed shapes is an optional module of the act/cut CAM cutting and punching software that can also be used as a stand-alone product. It includes six main families of shapes: circular, conical, oblong, rectangular, rounded rectangular and hoppers. Around twenty current 2D shapes (ring, flange, L, T…) form a seventh family.

The developing mode of these shapes is pre-set according to the job in question: 3D development for boiler making and thin-thickness development for ventilation.
After selection of a shape in the menu, a form appears that enables you to enter the parameters of the part together with the development parameters (external development, internal development or development on neutral axis, where the part is to be cut, marking of the extremity of generators, slots…)
Once the parameters are defined, it is possible to display the part in 3D and in 4 different views to visualize it before development. The developed shapes can then be used in the “Drafter” drawing environment, for dimensioning needs for example.

act/shapes is a complete, user-friendly software that takes into account the job. In addition to these advantages, the act/shapes library is also easy to customize: the user can indeed create his own catalogue from existing shapes, while establishing values by default for some parameters in order to gain time when entering the data.
